Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. Give accurate account information, protect your login, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity through your account unless it results from RooFork's failure to use reasonable security.

2. Informational tools, not professional advice

RooFork performs deterministic calculations using assumptions you enter and identified reference data. Outputs are estimates, may be incomplete or outdated, and are not an appraisal, credit decision, lending commitment, property inspection, or financial, investment, legal, tax, insurance, or accounting advice. Verify inputs and material decisions with the appropriate licensed professionals. The Disclaimer is part of these Terms.

3. Purchases, access, and refunds

• Stripe processes payments under its own terms and privacy notice. You authorize the displayed charge when you submit checkout.
• The current premium calculator product is sold as a one-time purchase, with no recurring RooFork charge unless checkout clearly states otherwise.
• “Lifetime access” means access for the life of the purchased RooFork product while RooFork continues to operate and support it. It is personal, non-transferable, and does not promise that every feature or third-party dependency will remain unchanged forever.
• Except where law requires otherwise, digital access purchases are non-refundable after access is delivered. We will review duplicate charges and verified failures to provide purchased access. Contact us promptly with the Stripe receipt and account email.
• Taxes, internet access, devices, and third-party fees are your responsibility unless checkout says otherwise.

4. Newsletter and communications

If you subscribe, RooFork may send the Housing Brief and related RooFork communications. You can unsubscribe using the one-click link in an email or by replying “unsubscribe.” We may still send service, security, payment, or legal notices relating to an account or transaction.

5. Your content and saved reports

You retain rights in information you submit. You grant RooFork a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and format that information only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Services and meet legal obligations. You are responsible for having the right to submit the information and for keeping your own copies of important reports.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

• break access controls, probe for vulnerabilities without written permission, interfere with the Services, or introduce malicious code;
• use automation to create abusive traffic, scrape protected output, spam forms, or exhaust service resources;
• reverse engineer or copy protected software except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• resell access, impersonate another person, violate law, or infringe another party's rights.

7. RooFork intellectual property

The Services, branding, software, presentation, and RooFork-created content are owned by or licensed to RooFork and are protected by law. Subject to these Terms, RooFork gives you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal or internal business evaluation. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used without restriction or compensation.

8. Third-party services and links

The Services depend on third parties including Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, public-data publishers, and linked websites. Their services and content are governed by their own terms. RooFork is not responsible for third-party services it does not control, though this does not limit obligations that cannot legally be limited.

9. Availability, changes, and termination

We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access to protect users, comply with law, or address misuse. We may suspend or terminate an account for a material breach, fraud, security risk, or unlawful conduct. You may stop using the Services and request account deletion. Provisions that logically survive termination continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” RooFork disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free data, a particular financial result, or that a lender, buyer, seller, insurer, or regulator will accept an output.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, RooFork and its members, employees, contractors, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, data, or use. RooFork's aggregate liability arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid RooFork during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify RooFork from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the Services, your submitted content, or your material breach of these Terms. This does not require indemnification for RooFork's own wrongful conduct.

13. Governing law and disputes

Florida law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. State and federal courts with jurisdiction in Pinellas County, Florida will have exclusive venue, except that either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court and either party may seek injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property or security systems.

14. General terms

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Disclaimer are the entire agreement about the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; RooFork may assign them as part of a reorganization or transfer of the Services. We may update these Terms prospectively and will provide legally required notice of material changes.
